Marika Vigo

PROGRAM MANAGER

Marika Vigo is an enthusiastic, solutions-driven, relationship-oriented program manager. She joins the Impactual team with a digital, communications, and events background in campaigns and think tanks. At her core, Marika is an idealist who wants to make a difference in the world, engaged by learning, energized by creating, and fulfilled by connecting (with others).

Most recently, she led the communications and events departments for the North American office of Australia’s leading think tank, ASPI USA. There, she delivered high-quality events with elected officials, diplomats, industry leaders, academics, and other stakeholders, and secured media placements for the team in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Australian Financial Review, and Newsweek. She was also published in an op-ed on the importance of engaging young voters during the 2024 election.

Her career spans political campaigns across the United States. She previously supported the Harris for President campaign in North Carolina by liaising with content creators. Before that, she was responsible for digital organizing, voter contact, and public outreach for the JB for Governor campaign. During the 2020 cycle, she helped secure Pennsylvania's win for the Biden for President ticket by building a statewide texting program, managing and training volunteers, and creating engaging digital content. She got her start on the field organizing team for Kamala Harris's primary campaign in South Carolina.

She has consulting experience in political, real estate, and communications capacities. Her background also includes positions with the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, the Federal Trade Commission, and the California Department of Justice.

Marika has a Bachelor of Economics with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and recipient of the Cal Alumni Association Leadership Award.

Originally from San Diego, Marika now calls New York City home where she spends her free time making friends, cooking, listening to house music, playing beach volleyball, taking on trivia night, throwing pottery, and searching for the best sushi in the city.
